The Collective is a newly renovated event space located in the heart of downtown Bakersfield. The indoor space can accommodate up to 200 people and is perfect for any event. We offer set-up and clean-up services, along with tables and chairs for all events. The high ceilings and neutral décor can easily pair with any theme. It truly is a blank canvas that can instantly transform into a beautiful event.
The outdoor patio space is a perfect area to compliment the indoor space for any event. The outdoor patio has beautiful olive trees, bistro lighting, and landscaping that creates an Italian garden feel. This space can accommodate up to 150 people for any of your event needs.
The Collective has one goal in mind, which is to provide a beautiful canvas for any client to use to transform their vision into an amazing event.

Is a deposit required?
Yes, a 50% deposit is required to hold your event date and is due at time of booking. In addition, we require a $500 damage/cleaning deposit that will be returned within 7 days after the event, as long as there Is no damage.
May we use our own vendors?
Yes, you may bring in your own vendors for catering, DJs, décor, etc.
Do you have access to vendors?
Yes, we have access to many vendors In the community and are able to offer you a full event design package to execute the event of your dreams.
Can we bring in our own alcohol?
Yes, as long as your event is a private event and you are not selling alcohol, you can bring in your own alcohol and bartender. We just ask that you get approval through The Collective prior to the event.
Is an appointment required to tour the venue?
Yes, to schedule an appointment to tour the venue, please call or text Jackie at 661-333-5795.
What are the rules and guidelines for decorating?
Most decorative items, such as candles, balloons, backdrops, and displays, are permitted to be used in the venue. Since we have high ceilings, you may even bring in bounce houses. Any tape, adhesive, etc. that you would like to use on the walls must be approved by The Collective. Glitter and confetti are not permitted for use as these items are hard to clean up.
When is the balance due?
The balance is due in full 30 days before the date of the event.
Do you have a kitchen for use with catering?
We do not have an on-site kitchen. Your caterer will have to plan for prepping and cooking off-site and bringing chaffing dishes and other means of keeping food warm and/or cold.
Do we provide linens?
Linens are not included in the basic package, but are included with an optional event design package.
Do we require an insurance policy?
Yes, a one-day General Certificate of Liability is required. You may purchase this through your own personal insurance, or through:
Is security required?
For events that are serving alcohol or large nighttime events, 1 security guard per 100 people is required. The Collective can set up the security for you for an additional fee or you are able to set up your own security. We just ask that you give the information of the security company that you will be using to The Collective.
Can we store rental items at the venue prior to and after the event?
While we realize that many rental vendors schedule their deliveries on Friday and their pick-ups on Monday, you will have to check with The Collective to see if we can accommodate this. Depending on when your event is scheduled, there may be other events prior to and after your event, and storage on-site is limited. The Collective does have access to rental vendors who can set up and pick up same day, so we just need to make sure we coordinate this prior to your event.
